In daily routine, we often need to take screenshot of some screen part or want to take whole screen screenshot. Every brand of computer or laptop has different way to take screenshot. In Windows Laptops there is a button on keyboard to take a screenshot called “PrtSc”. But there are many other methods to take screenshot in different brands.
Let’s check below how can you take screenshot in different brand.
If you want to have Fullscreen screenshots in your Toshiba laptop, use the keyboard shortcut combination.
Method 2: Open the screen you want to capture.
Press the Windows logo key and “PrtSc” together. It will then take a screenshot on your Fullscreen and automatically save it to “Pictures Folder” under “Screenshot” your laptop.
If the Windows key and PRSC key do not work on your Toshiba laptop, or if you do not have a PRTSC key on the Toshiba laptop, the FN + Windows Key Try End/ PRSC, and it should be able to take a screenshot.
You will get all your Screenshots in Pictures Directory under Screenshots folder
This is an easy process! but still if you want to a screenshot of an active window then try next method.
Method 2: Take a screenshot of an active window
If you want to take screenshot in MS Windows of an active window then there are two ways to do this.
Option: 1 Using MS Paint
Paint is the built-in feature of Microsoft Windows since the release of MS win 97 and it is included in each release of Windows like Win T7 Win 8 and so on.
Step1: Type “Paint” in the search box on your laptop and select Paint from the below program list to open.
Step 2: Open the window that you want to take the screenshot and press “Prt Sc” key or “End” key. This will save screenshot in clipboard.
Step 3: Go to the Paint program which you have already opened, and then click on “Paste” button or press “Ctrl + V” keys together from your keyboard to paste the screenshot.
Step 3: If you want to resize or crop the image in paint, you can do it through clicking crop or resize button (Ctrl + W).
Step 4: After editing, click Save button under File menu or press Ctrl + S to save the image.
Option 2: Use Snipping Tool
Snipping Tool is very useful utility included in Window Vista or Later version to take screenshot in Windows. Let’s check how to use it:
Step 1: Type Snipping Tool in the search box and select Snipping tool from the program list to open it.
2: Click New on Snipping Tool Panel
Step 3: Click from mouse and drag your cursor to the area which you want to take screenshot.
Step 4: Click Save Snip to save the screenshot to laptop.
Option: 3 Take a screenshot with LightShot
LightShot is the specialize software to take the screenshot in Windows.
To take screenshot, follow the steps
Step 1: Download and install the LightShot in your laptop
Step 2: After installation when you click on “PrtSC” button this software will work.
Step 3: Drag your mouse cursor to area which you want to take Screen shot.
Step 4: you can copy screenshot by click Copy icon or press Ctrl + C.
Step 5: you can directly save your screenshot by click Save icon or press Ctrl + S.
