Instagram stories have become a popular way for users to share their daily moments with their followers. However, sometimes we may post a photo on our story that we later regret or want to remove. In this article, we will discuss how to delete a photo from your Instagram story.
Accessing Your Instagram Story
Before we can delete a photo from our Instagram story, we need to access it. To do this, open the Instagram app on your phone and tap on your profile picture in the top left corner. This will take you to your profile page.
Next, tap on your profile picture again, but this time in the bottom right corner. This will take you to your story.
Finding the Photo You Want to Delete
Scroll through your story until you find the photo you want to delete. You can also use the arrows on either side of the screen to navigate through your story. Once you have found the photo, tap on it to bring up the options menu.
Deleting the Photo
In the options menu, you will see a trash can icon in the bottom right corner. Tap on this icon to delete the photo from your story. A pop-up will appear asking if you are sure you want to delete the photo. Tap “Delete” to confirm.
Hiding the Photo
If you don’t want to completely delete the photo from your story, you can also choose to hide it. This will remove the photo from your story, but it will still be visible to you in your camera roll. To hide the photo, tap on the three dots in the bottom right corner of the options menu. Then, select “Hide Story From” and choose the people you want to hide the photo from.
Deleting Multiple Photos
If you have multiple photos on your story that you want to delete, you can do so by tapping and holding on the first photo. This will bring up a menu with the option to “Select Multiple.” Tap on this option and then select all the photos you want to delete. Once you have selected all the photos, tap on the trash can icon in the bottom right corner to delete them.
Deleting a Photo from Your Archive
If you have already posted the photo on your profile and it is now in your archive, you can still delete it from your story. To do this, go to your profile page and tap on the three lines in the top right corner. Then, select “Archive” and find the photo you want to delete. Tap on the photo to bring up the options menu and then tap on the trash can icon to delete it.
By following these simple steps, you can easily delete a photo from your Instagram story. Remember, you can also choose to hide the photo or delete multiple photos at once. Keep your story looking exactly how you want it by regularly deleting any unwanted photos.
