Best Laptop With Numeric keypad

8 Best Laptop With Numeric Keypad 2021

Most people are good with the number row above the letters on the keyboard when pressing phone numbers, times, or passwords on a laptop. A laptop with a numeric keypad, on the other side, will be helpful if your job or career allows you to input vast volumes of numbers. The numeric keypad, which is often used on conventional keyboards, allows for closer proximity to similar numerals and shorter distances for finger motions for each keystroke. Entering large amounts of data becomes a breeze with the numeric keypad, and you can even do it with one hand.

What Do You Need to Know Before Buying?

Laptops with numeric keypads are highly effective, allowing you to enter many numbers at regular intervals.

Dimensions and Construction:

First, keep the laptop’s size and construction in mind when purchasing a laptop with a built-in numeric keypad. When a numeric keypad is built-in, the overall size of the keypad would be more significant. Likewise, if the keyboard is giant, the screen would be more prominent as well.

It should not be a concern, but if you want a smaller unit, there are choices available. Look for laptops with screens that are between 13 and 14 inches in height. If you want something small but with a numeric keypad, this should be the right size for you.

Its scale and construction determine the weight of a laptop. Dell and Lenovo have a range of laptops that weigh less than 5 pounds. This size is ideal because it allows the laptop to be compact and light.

8 Best Laptops With Numeric Keyboard

In this article, we’ve curated a list of some of the best laptops with numeric keypads on the market, which you can peruse to find one that fits your needs.

Exercising:

The laptop’s success is a crucial consideration. The processor is a simple way to determine the laptop’s processing speed. Laptops with dual processors are more powerful and faster. The recommended rate is 3.4GHz, which is a decent enough speed.

Based on your needs, you can get higher-end processors and Intel cores like the i5, i7, and so on. Dealing with numbers will be taxing on every laptop, so make sure it has a powerful processor. When combined with a numeric keypad, a powerful processor will work wonders for someone who deals with numbers regularly. The processor will also assist you in avoiding any lag or delay.

The volume of Storage:

Storage space is another essential feature to consider when purchasing a laptop. You can comfortably operate on a variety of tasks thanks to the adequate storage space. In addition, if your laptop has enough storage space, you can save a lot of content and files.

For most people, 8GB of memory and 256GB of SSD storage should suffice. You won’t have to uninstall things all the time to make room for more data with this storage allowance. It will also help you prevent lags and poor output if you have enough storage space.

Battery life:

The computers abruptly shut down while working on something. The explanation for this is that my battery has run out. If you need to make the most of your numeric keypad, you’ll need a laptop with long battery life.

If you’re on a low price, a laptop with an 8-10 hour battery life can suffice. It would be within your price limit. You can also get a battery with a modest amount of charge. If you’re willing to pay a bit extra, go for laptops with 11-13 hours of battery life. You won’t have to invoice it too much this way. Uninterrupted reliability is the product of a long-lasting battery.

New HP Pavilion 2-in-1 15.6″ HD Touchscreen Laptop

New HP Pavilion 2-in-1 15.6" HD Touchscreen Laptop

Specifications:

Processor  Intel i5-8265U
RAM 8GB RAM
GPU Intel UHD Graphics 620
Storage 512GB SSD
Display 15.6″
Battery 10 hours
Weight 3.5 pounds
Dimensions 14.13 x 8.44 x 0.81 inches

Design:

The Pavilion had a lovely coat of glossy red paint on its plastic lid (it even comes in silver and purple) with a shiny HP emblem on the exterior. Still, when you raise the pretty cover, the Pavilion becomes less appealing. The palm rest was black plastic with red racing streaks, which I found first.

Display:

The 15.6-inch, 1366 x 768 monitor, is not bright enough, even when set to full brightness, and the panel is very reflective, making it difficult to view from a 45-degree angle, which makes it challenging to use as a laptop or tablet touch screen.

Keyboard & Touchpad:

The Pavilion’s keyboard is best described as having a numeric keypad that makes it simple to measure and do accounting and allows you to type at a maximum speed of 110 words per minute.

Performance:

Yes, the general design is not as premium as expected, but it offers you solid hardware for games on a low budget. The Pavilion has a 512 PCIe NVMe M.2 SSD, 8GB RAM, and an Intel Core i5-8265U CPU that runs at up to 3.9 GHz with Intel Turbo Boost Technology excellent multitasking machine. As with most devices, there is some lag when you open more than 30 tabs, but this is not an issue.

Battery Life:

According to the Laptop Mag Battery Test, the Pavilion has a good battery life and will last for 10 hours. The test involved web browsing on W-Fi, and the battery life was able to pass an average of 10 hours with relevance.

Ports and connectivity:

The Pavilion has ports on both sides that can attach to various peripheral devices, including a power port, Ethernet connector, HDMI port, USB 3.0 ports on the right, and an SD card slot and USB 2.0 on the left.

Pros
  • Touchscreen and ultra-high-definition (UHD) displays are available.
  • Low operating temperatures in general.
  • For a notebook of this size, a dual-storage configuration is unusual.
  • The keyboard has a backlight.
Cons
  • There is no Thunderbolt 3 or USB Type-C port.
  • The visibility is average.
  • The RX 550’s efficiency is just adequate.

Dell Inspiron 15.6″ Touch Screen laptop

Dell Inspiron 15.6" Touch Screen laptop

Specifications:

Processor Intel Core i3-7130U Dual -Core Processor
RAM 8 GB DDR4 SDRAM
GPU Intel Integrated HD 620 Graphics
Storage 128GB Solid State Drive
Display 15 6″ Hd
Battery 5 hours and 8 minutes
Weight 1 pounds
Dimensions 9.1 x 9.1 x 9.1 inches

Design:

The Inspiron 15 5000 is a plastic, silver slab bearing Dell’s logo in a mirror sheen, and its Dell’s 15.6-inch, midrange notebook is a dull, chunky brick. It’s long been the case that the Inspiron portfolio lacks any aesthetic muse, and the Inspiron 15 5000 continues this trend.

Display:

The 15.6-inch, 1080p screen is surrounded by an almost offensively thick bezel and a plastic deck with a faux brushed-metal look, with a fingerprint reader on the power button and a black set of island-style keys. Dell’s 15.6-inch midrange notebook is a bland, chunky block.

Keyboard & Touchpad:

It’s worth noting that the Dell Inspiron comes with a numeric keypad, which makes budgeting, billing, and other measurements a breeze. In addition, the keyboard has a backlit display, and the touchpad measures 4.1 x 3.1 inches.

Performance:

The Dell Inspiron can be slower than most machines, but it comes with 1TB hard drives, 8GB of RAM, an Intel Core i5-8250U processor, and a 5400-rpm HDD, giving you plenty of space for multitasking. According to Geekbench 4, the Dell Inspiron scored 11,791 compared to the mainstream laptop average of 8231 and 927 compared to the Aspire Core i5-8250U.

The Dell Inspiron 15 5000 (378), which comes with an 8th-Gen Intel Core i5 CPU, is a beautiful place to work, but it lacks certain functionality that you can workaround. In addition, it has an average battery life, low screen screens, and its interface is very bland.

Connectivity and ports:

It has USB 3.0 ports, an Ethernet socket, an SD card reader, HDMI output, a disc drive, and a headphone jack.

Battery Life:

The Dell Inspiron laptop has a battery life of 5 hours and 8 minutes, which is lower than other laptops with a number pad but isn’t a big deal because the time gap is so tiny, according to a test conducted by laptop mag Battery, which took into account its use of Wi-Fi.

Pros
  • Exceptional output.
  • The price is fair.
  • Heat at a tolerable level.
Cons
  • Style is drab.
  • Battery life is average.
  • The show is average.

Acer Aspire 5 Slim Laptop

RAM 8GB DDR4
GPU Intel UHD Graphics 620
Storage 256GB SSD
Display 15.6 Inches
Battery 5 Hours
Weight 3.97 pounds
Dimensions 14.31 x 9.86 x 0.71 inches

Design:

It has a light lid, which means you won’t be able to put anything heavy on it. Nevertheless, the premium design, excellent specifications, and low price put it the best laptop with a numeric keypad.

Display:

When you carry the Acer Aspire 5 around the office or at home, you gain confidence thanks to its tight, well-built display, which is typical of budget laptops. In addition, you can rest assured that the hinge is in good working order and that the display is excellent.

Keyboard & Touchpad:

The keyboard is a full-size island version with a 10-key numeric keypad and a full-size layout. All of the keys are present at the locations and are of a reasonable size. The keyboard does not have a backlight, but the white-on-black lettering makes it visible, so this may not be an issue. The touchpad is better than you might expect, and it’s on par with some of the best Windows touchpads we’ve seen, including the one on the much more expensive Dell XPS 15. Even at its low price, the Aspire 5 has a decently sized touchpad that is responsive and supports Microsoft’s Precision Touchpad protocol. The gestures are fluid, and any that Windows 10 recognizes will work here.

Performance:

The 16GB memory module in the Acer Aspire 5 is optional, and it aims to make the standard 1TB hard drive in this budget laptop feel almost as snappy as the SSDs found in more expensive models.

The Aspire 5 has been updated with Intel’s 8th-generation Core i5-8250U processor, a quad-core processor that has performed admirably and provided noticeable efficiency. Unfortunately, even at a $500 price point, the 4GB of DDR4 RAM provided by Acer is a little disappointing.

Ports and connectivity:

One USB 3.1 Type C Gen 1 port, two USB 3.1 Gen 1 ports (One with Power-off Charging), one USB 2.0 port, and one HDMI port with HDCP support are included.

Pros
  • The design is of high quality.
  • Quad-core performance is excellent.
  • The price is reasonable.
  • Intel Optane accelerates the large-capacity hard drive.
  • You want a tactile keyboard with a numeric keypad.
Cons
  • Although the keypad is not backlit, the keys are visible.
  • If your hard drive is overburdened with files, it will be slow.

MSI GV62 8RD-200 15.6″ Full HD Performance Gaming Laptop

MSI GV62 8RD-200 15.6" Full HD Performance Gaming Laptop

Specifications:

Processor i5-8300H
RAM 8GB RAM
GPU GTX 1050Ti 4G
Storage 32GB
Display 15.6″
Battery 2 hours and 5 minutes
Weight 4.8 pounds
Dimensions 15.07 x 10.23 x 1.16 inches

Design:

While the MSI GV62’s design isn’t as flashy as other gaming laptops, its minimalist exterior is quite lovely; however, we have some concerns about the build quality. A black, engraved MSI logo shines at the top, just below where the curves meet to form a stylish arrow, and MSI’s glossy dragon shield protrudes from the chassis beneath that.

Display:

The 15.6-inch, 1920 x 1080 matte IPS display on the GV62 8RE is bright and offers wide viewing angles. Still, the panel isn’t particularly colorful, registering only 72 percent of the sRGB color gamut, well below the 102 percent category average.

Keyboard & Touchpad:

The GV62’s keyboard is pretty standard, with bold red/black paint and red LED lights; the touchpad is slick, with discrete mouse buttons subtly accented in red; and above the keyboard is a pair of nifty controls that activate the fan and open the Dragon Center app. The MSI GV62 is the lightest gaming laptop among its competitors, measuring 15 x 10.2 x 1.2 inches and weighing 5 pounds.

Performance:

You’ll need a system with a GTX 1060 GPU or higher to take advantage of this feature. The laptop comes with 8GB of RAM, up to 32GB of storage, and a Core i5-8300H processor with six cores that can handle any task, including video editing. The GeForce GTX 10-Series GPUs outperform previous-generation GPUs by up to 3X, thanks to ultra-fast FinFET transistors, the latest high-bandwidth memory technologies, and support for Di.

Ports and connectivity:

Given that you won’t be doing VR gaming, which takes up a few of your ports at once, port options are plentiful and varied.

Battery Life:

Only 2 hours and 5 minutes did the MSI GV62 last.

Pros
  • The design is smooth and elegant.
  • Easy to use
  • Excellent performance
  • Competent speakers
  • Priced reasonably
  • The lid flexes.
Cons
  • drab presentation
  • a very loud fan
  • Battery life is limited.

Lenovo Legion 5 Gaming Laptop

Lenovo Legion 5 Gaming Laptop

Specifications:

Processor AMD Ryzen 7 4800H Processor
RAM 16GB DDR4
GPU NVIDIA GTX 1660Ti
Storage 512GB SSD
Display 15.6″
Battery up to 9 hour
Weight 5.41 pounds
Dimensions 14.29 x 10.22 x 0.98 inches

If you’re still looking for an AMD-based laptop with a traditional but functional numeric keypad without sacrificing performance, the Lenovo Legion 5 is one of the better options.

Design:

The Legion 5 has the same chassis as its predecessors, but it looks a lot more stylish than the Phantom Blue hood and the prismatic Legion logo in the top-left corner of the lid. The interior has the same Phantom Blue deck and a four-zone RGB-lit keyboard that flows from left to right like a rainbow ocean break against the shore.

Display:

The Legion 5 15.6-inch display comes in three different panel options, all of which are 1080p: the most premium has a 165Hz refresh rate, 3ms response time, and covers 100 percent of the sRGB range with 300 nits and Dolby Vision support; the middle tier has 120Hz, 45 percent NTSC, and 250 nits; and the bottom one has 60Hz, 100 percent sRGB, and 300 nits.

Keyboard & Touchpad:

Aside from the display-centric clarity and advanced processing conglomerate, the Legion 5 is also equipped with a TrueStrike backlit keyboard known for its excellent travel, actuation, and hair-trigger responses. Other notable features include a smooth touchpad, powerful speakers, and innovative Cold Front cooling technology.

Performance:

Although the CPU can reach clock speeds of up to 4.2GHz, the higher TDP levels may be a deal-breaker for those in hotter locales. However, the device is ideally aided by the GeForce GTX 1660 Ti GPU and 6GB VRAM, which assist with perfect rendering and GPU-accelerated tasks.

Lenovo’s 16GB RAM module can process data and disc caches at 3200MHz. In comparison, the 512GB SSD module provides ample storage, allowing you to quickly load Windows 10 Home edition and some of the more perfect and advanced applications.

Ports and connectivity:

Four Gen 1 slots, HDMI, and Ethernet output are available for port management. Still, it is the Bluetooth 5.0 and Wi-Fi 6 support that allows you to be more productive, especially when it comes to connectivity.

Battery Life:

Lenovo also includes a powerful battery module that can last up to 9 hours under normal conditions.

Pros
  • The 7nm architecture is used in this high-end processor.
  • RAM that is lightning fast
  • Excellent keyboard.
  • Harman Kardon audiophile speakers
  • Long-lasting battery
  • Wi-Fi 6 with a total of 22 channels
Cons
  • Thunderbolt 3 isn’t supported.
  • A little heavier than usual

ASUS Vivobook K571 Laptop

Specifications:

Processor  Intel Core i7-10750H CPU
RAM 16GB RAM
GPU NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1650
Storage 256GB PCIe Nvme SSD + 1TB HDD
Display 15.6 FHD
Battery 5-hour battery
Weight 4.72 pounds
Dimensions 14.13 x 9.76 x 0.86 inches

Asus stands out when it comes to producing productive notebooks. The VivoBook K571 appears to be no exception. Despite being a mid-range gaming notebook, it meets various professional requirements thanks to an innovative keyboard and other useful features.

Design: Creatives, on the other hand, can benefit from the slimmer bezels, 178-degree wide-angle viewing experience, and close to 80% screen-to-chassis ratio. You do, however, get a Chiclet-style keyboard that is actively cooled.

Display:

The inclusion of a 15.6-inch 1080p panel was expected. However, Asus sweetens the deal even more for gamers by boasting a 120Hz screen refresh rate.

Keyboard & Touchpad:

The 1.4-millimeter key travel didn’t make things any easier. Instead, I discovered that the keys were mushy and lacked the strong bounce that aids finger movement from key to key.

For the most part, the key spacing is excellent; and a slightly more significant separation between the keyboard and the Numpad, but its existence is beneficial to those who frequently enter figures.

Performance:

The Intel Core i7-10750H CPU in the VivoBook K571 is more than capable of handling photo editing, live streaming, stock trading, bookkeeping, engineering, and other business-related tasks. Most importantly, the processor has a tremendous single-core turbo clock speed of up to 4.6GHz, making it capable of handling mathematical calculations, Excel worksheet management, and other single-threaded tasks with ease.

The GTX 1650 graphics card, which includes 4GB of dedicated video RAM, provides adequate processing support. Despite being a CPU’s ally, the existing GPU can handle mid-range AAA titles and deliver excellent game-playing results.

Ports and connectivity:

If you’re more concerned about the connectivity suite in general, the VivoBook K571 is equipped with Type-A, Type-C, HDMI, USB 2.0, and Wi-Fi 5.

Battery Life:

In terms of autonomy, Asus’ 5-hour battery backup is only average.

Pros
  • Processor with lots of power
  • GPU in the mid-range
  • IceCool technology and a well-spaced keyboard
  • Easily transportable design
  • The display is stunning and gamer-friendly.
Cons
  • Thunderbolt 3 isn’t included.
  • Wi-Fi 6 isn’t supported.

Newest Lenovo IdeaPad 3 15″ HD Touch Screen Laptop

Newest Lenovo IdeaPad 3 15" HD Touch Screen Laptop

Specifications:

Processor  Intel 10th Gen Dual-Core i3-1005G1
RAM 8GB DDR4 RAM
GPU Intel UHD Graphics
Storage 256GB PCI-e SSD
Display 15″ HD
Battery 5 hours
Weight 4 pounds
Dimensions 14.26 x 9.98 x 0.78 inches

The new Lenovo IdeaPad 3 is a low-cost notebook aimed at students and entry-level professionals, with a price tag of around $400. While the numeric keypad is a requisite feature, Lenovo’s 10th generation chipset adds a significant amount of processing power to the mix.

Design:

Because of the light blue keyboard font and light blue backlighting, the interior isn’t as discreet. The power button is present just above the keyboard, and the hinge features a blue IdeaPad Gaming logo. The bottom and top bezels are slightly thicker than I’d like, but the side bezels are nice and narrow.

Display:

Thanks to TruBrite technology, the 15.6-inch display on this budget notebook can display exceptional color accuracy levels. This improvement indicates a wide-angle viewing experience, which is aided even more by the LED-backlit technology. In addition, the HD touch screen has a resolution of 1366 x 768 pixels, which is relatively high.

Keyboard & Touchpad:

Despite its low price, the IdeaPad 3 has a full-size keyboard, an integrated webcam, available microphones, and an amplified acoustic setup.

Performance:

When it comes to processing power, the IdeaPad 3 houses the 10th generation Intel Core i3-1005G1 chipset, which is entirely appropriate, the maximum turbo clock speed limit of up to 3.4GHz, followed by the quad-threaded architecture, courtesy of HyperThreading technology, is what stands out. However, Lenovo is sticking with the Integrated UHD graphics coprocessor when it comes to graphics support.

Lenovo also includes 8GB of high-speed RAM, which provides increased bandwidth and a superior ability to handle professional multitasking and hours of web browsing or other similar activities. In addition, the 256GB SSD module, albeit with PCIe compatibility, takes care of storage needs.

Ports and connectivity:

The Lenovo IdeaPad Gaming 3i has many ports, but it only has two USB Type-A ports, whereas most gaming laptops have three. The power jack, an RJ45 Ethernet port, an HDMI port, one USB Type-A port, one USB Type-C port, a headphone jack, a Novo hole, and a power indicator are all located on the left side. Meanwhile, there is only one USB Type-A port on the right side.

Battery Life:

The battery backup is only 5 hours, which is shorter than expected. If you have low money but still want a usable notebook with a dedicated numeric keypad and a 10th-generation processor, the new IdeaPad 3 is the best option.

Pros
  • The processor of the tenth generation
  • The chassis is sleek.
  • SSDs that are PCIe compatible
  • Touch panel that responds
  • Viewing from a wide-angle
Cons
  • mediocre battery
  • The brightness of the screen can be an issue.
